Earth’s twin & Muscle twins

Venus is called Earth’s twin because both planets share a very similar size, composition and location within the inner solar system.

But some actually call Venus our ‘Evil Twin’!

Why?

Venus’ environment went down a very different route.

It is extremely hot (up to 900 deg F), has a thick atmosphere of mainly carbon dioxide, and toxic clouds cover the atmosphere.

For reference, water boils at 206 deg F. So, Venus has no water.

Our body also has a set of twins.

Deep within the pelvic region, there are two small muscles that attach to your thigh bone (aka the femur).

They are called the gemellus superior and gemellus inferior.

The word gemellus comes from Latin, meaning “little twin”.

They help stabilize the pelvis and assist in rotating the thigh outward at the hip joint.

Just like the rocky second planet, the Gemellus twins have a more powerful neighbor.

It is the gluteus medius muscle.

This one too helps stabilize the pelvis and assist in rotating the thigh outward at the hip joint.

The main difference then?

The gluteus medius is much larger.

4,900% larger at that.

Therefore, it is more powerful and ultimately more efficient.

Power and efficiency help you go up steps easier, stand and walk longer; and have less wear and tear on your body.

I’m not going to say the Gemellus twins are evil but nice to have a more habitable muscle available as a neighbor.

That is super nice when it comes to aging.

That is why the gluteus medius muscle is 1 of our 6 Green Zones.

Longevity. Healthspan. Prevention.
