This class will focus on safe positions to help with mobility and build muscles to prepare for childbirth and after. Safe, open community allows you to freely discuss any issues, discomforts, and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing.

Strength Training for Osteoporosis

Strength training can help manage osteoporosis and improve bone health. Increase your bone density, maintain muscle mass, and reduce the risk of fractures. This class will take a careful approach to strength training for the specific needs and limitations of osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Leanna’s pilates classes are spectacular. Fun, friendly, and not at all intimidating. This is not one of those snooty studios full of judgy people. There are new moms, older folks, people healing from injuries, and all sizes and abilities. She will work with you to make sure you are getting the most from the workout SAFELY.
Physiofit is a hidden gem in Wake Forest. Please do yourself a favor and get on their schedule and start your journey to feeling better.

Testimonials

I love PhysioFit of NC. I have been attending twice-weekly Strength Training for Osteoporosis classes since January 2025, and I will continue as long as they let me in the door. The PhysioFit instructors design each session to build strength, coordination, and balance. Each class is a full body workout, but it is not exhausting.
Personally, I have stopped ignoring my body. I have gained strength (actual muscles), physical confidence, and new awareness of my body both in and outside of classes. The benefits are not all physical. I get needed social interaction, and I leave each 50-minute class with a sense of accomplishment and peace. I cannot think of anything I have done for myself that is as rewarding.

I have struggled with being consistent when it comes to moving more/being active for years. Gyms give me anxiety. I am so happy I did a quick Google search for Pilates sessions before signing up somewhere and this studio popped up first. The small group sessions that are offered here are exactly what I needed. The passion and indescribable level of patience has helped me tremendously. If you’re reading this for help deciding if you should join a series or private Pilates sessions I 10/10 recommend her!
