Here are the details of the 20-5-3 Rule: 20 minutes This is the amount of time you should spend outside in nature. This has the greatest effect on reducing the stress hormone cortisol. 5 hours This is the length of time each month you should spend outside in nature. This has the greatest effect on being happier and less stressful. 3 days This is the number of days you should spend each year off of the grid. Think of camping or renting a cabin without being connected. This has the greatest effect on taming burnout and improving general satisfaction in life.
